We are dog lovers!

We do accept dogs to stay over at our hotel. We do have a Pet Policy that they – and you – must follow.

This is our DOG PET POLICY

We at the Anchor Inn and Marina welcomes all of our guests who have brought their DOG(s) along as travel companions.  In order to ensure that all our guests have a pleasant stay, the following are a list of guidelines that need to be followed by all pet owners. Thank you.

*Upon Arrival at our motel, we require that you give us proof that your dog(s) have been given flea medicine or have a flea collar. We require a copy of the vet receipt for medication or the receipt from a store bought flea collar/medication and the box it came in.

*Your dogs are never to be left unattended in the room.  Please do no lock your pet in the bathroom or in the room while you are out.  Please do not leave your pet in a cage or other enclosure and leave your room or cottage. There are many pet friendly restaurants, wineries, breweries and other locations here for you to take your pet along for a ride …

  1. Motel management or the front desk must be informed of all dogs brought along with guests upon arrival and check-in. We need to know how many dogs are going to be in the room.  Anything else must be cleared with management first. Upon arrival your pet must have a new flea collar on or you need to show us a vet receipt with a recent flea medication application.
  2. The maximum number of domestic dogs per room cannot exceed 2 dogs.
  3. A $25 dollar cash deposit is required per dog for our Rooms.  A $50 cash deposit is required per dog for our Cottages. This money will be refunded upon your departure after your room has been inspected, for any damage to furniture, walls, doors, rugs, screens, electric wires, etc. ALSO if excessive hair is found and additional cleaning is necessary there will be an additional charge of $25.00.
  4. Your dogs are never to be left unattended in the room.  Please do no lock your pet in the bathroom or in the room while you are out.  Please do not leave your pet in a cage or other enclosure and leave your room or cottage.
  5. Dogs are not allowed to sleep or lay on the beds or furniture.
  6. Please walk your pets behind the motel for exercise, as well as to relieve themselves, and clean up after them. Do not take them in the front yard to go potty as other guests use this area.
  7. Dogs are not to be tied to trees, the fence, chairs or any object and left alone for any length of time.
  8. Please respect other customer’s space if you bring your pet down to the beach area to relax or picnic.
  9. Dogs must be under the control of their owners at all times. This helps ensure the safety of all guests and customers.
  10. Please be sure your pet’s vaccinations are up to date and they are well groomed to prevent flea infestation.
  11. Excessive pet noise such as whining, barking, howling, is not acceptable.
  12. If a legitimate complaint is made, any property is damaged or destroyed, or any of the above guidelines are not followed, we reserve the right to ask you to leave at any time without a refund of your room payment or pet deposit.   If any damages are done, you will be held responsible for them.
